Jeffrey J. Neuman - gTLD Registries Stakeholder Group
28 November 2010
I currently serve as the Vice President of Law & Policy for NeuStar, Inc., the domain name registry for the .biz and .us top-level domains. Neustar also provides back end registry services in support of Tralliance for the .travel gTLD, Telnic for the .tel gTLD, and for various ccTLDs, including Colombia.
In this role, I am responsible for all legal and policy issues with respect Neustar's TLD registry and mobile registry lines of business as well as for various other non-registry lines of business. I do have access to Registry Sensitive information including some information about registrars. In addition, NeuStar may be pursuing new top-level domains both as a front end and as a back-end registry operator. Neustar also provides DNS services to existing ccTLDs, gTLDs and enterprises.
As a representative elected to the GNSO Council by Registries Stakeholder Group (RySG), I am required by the Stakeholder Group's Articles of Operation to represent the views of those members and the full Stakeholder Group as applicable, not my own or Neustar's. In that regard, I will endeavor to always qualify any personal statements as such and will follow-up with the RySG to obtain their position.
As a Vice President within NeuStar, I am in a senior leadership position and I do own a very small de minimus amount of equity. Neustar is a public company listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol "NSR". At this point in time, NeuStar does not own or have any interest in any domain name registrar, nor does any ICANN-accredited registrar have an ownership interest in Neustar (other than shares it may have acquired in the open public market). Neustar is not involved currently in any other constituency or stakeholder group other than the RySG within ICANN.
