ELECTION PROCESS AND STATUS:
The sub-working group has been discussing options. The working group is leaning towards recommending the use of the Single Transferable Vote (STV). The sub-working group has also been discussing whether the software program that was used for the DNSO elections and offered by AFNIC can handle this kind of election. The outstanding question remains who should run it, as well as independent overseers of elections. The subworking group is giving thought to various options, which it will circulate to the Launching Group. Following discussion within the Launching Group, a Election Process will be posted for public comment.
STATUS OF MEMBERSHIP APPLICATIONS:
The participants on the Launching Group discussed the applications received. Some applications require clarification or additional information, and individual notes will be sent by the LG to those applications requesting the clarification. Within the next few days the ccNSO website will list the approved applications, and those pending. The application process is ongoing, and open at all times.
OTHER:
MEMBERSHIP SECTION OF THE BYLAWS:
The LG members on the conference call discussed the section on membership, and whether it was SO's representing a ccTLD, or the individual manager. The LG asked staff to request clarification from the General Counsel.
