Director of JPRS (Japan Registry Services Co., Ltd.)
Among his carrier in NTT (Nippon Telegraph and Telephone corporation) he was responsible for developing value-added services in NTT's ISP services. While he was with NTT, he was Chairman of Asia & Pacific Internet Association in 2000-2001.
After he left NTT, he joined JPRS as one of its start-up members, which has been a .JP ccTLD registry from 2001. He is responsible for corporate planning and business development. His current technical specialty is in IDN and ENUM.
From 1999, he was a member of Names Council of ICANN DNSO appointed by ISP Constituency for 2 years. He was a member of ICANN IDN Registry Implementation Committee. Currently he is on ICANN President's Advisory Committee for IDNs and ccNSO Council. In Japan, he is one of the Vice-Chairpersons of ENUM Trial Japan (ETJP).
