Freedom of Expression issues re: new gTLDs

Last Updated:

There was a workshop at the San Juan meeting which was concerned that the new gTLD policy agreed over several years through the ICANN process risked restricting freedom of expression.

Much of the debate surrounding that issue has been taking place on websites and blogs that many of those within the ICANN community are unlikely to visit. And so this post is intended to at least encourage those concerned about the policy to raise their concerns where they are more likely to be seen and heard.

Anyone that registers with this site is entitled to post comments to this post, plus write their own personal blog comments. If the debate takes off, ICANN will do what it can to expand this site's resources to cope with the discussion.

Thanks
