ALAC Statement on the Preliminary GNSO Issue Report on the Registrar Accreditation Agreement Amendments

This Statement [PDF, 448 KB] was originally composed by the following individuals after discussion of the topic within At-Large:

  • Carlton Samuels, At-Large Advisory Committee (ALAC) member from the Latin American and Caribbean Islands Regional At-Large Organization (LACRALO) and Vice Chair of the ALAC Executive Committee;
  • Alan Greenberg, ALAC Liaison to the GNSO and At-Large member from the North American Regional At-Large Organization (NARALO); and
  • Holly Raiche, Vice-Chair of the Asia, Australasian and Pacific Islands Regional At-Large Organization (APRALO).

On 6 January 2012, this Statement was posted on the At-Large Preliminary GNSO Issue Report on the Registrar Accreditation Agreement Amendments Workspace.

On that same day, Olivier Crépin-Leblond, Chair of the ALAC, requested At-Large Staff to send a three-day call for comments on the draft Statement to all At-Large members via the ALAC-Announce Mailing List.

On 13 January 2012, the Chair of the ALAC requested that Staff open a five-day ALAC ratification on the Statement. The Chair also requested that the Statement be transmitted to the public comment process, copying the ICANN Staff member responsible for this public comment topic, along with a note saying that the document was currently undergoing ALAC ratification with a vote to start shortly.
