Mr. Espana has over 12 years in the domain industry bringing expertise from different areas which include a Registrar, a gTLD Registry and a ccTLD Registry. Mr. Espana has actively participated in the ccNSO being part of the first ccNSO council from 2004 and 2005 representing .US. Mr. Espana's interest of ccTLD issues is also evident from his active participation as the .US representative at APTLD and LACTLD meetings where he has held presentations several times over the past years.
Currently Mr. Espana's role within Neustar is to manage the Asia-Pacific and Latin American regions for a variety of issues including channel management and monitoring ccTLD activities.
Prior to joining Neustar, Mr. Espana worked with Melbourne IT an Australian Registrar and Network Solutions prior to the creation of ICANN and the separation of the Registry and Registrar functions.
Mr. Espana holds a Bachelors of Arts from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech).
