The attached statement [PDF, 120 KB] on the initial report of the registration abuse policies working group [PDF, 1.81 MB] and the NORC draft report for the study of the accuracy of Whois registrant contact information [PDF, 432 KB] was drafted by the Carlton Samuels, member of the At-Large Advisory Committee (ALAC) and Garth Bruen from the At-Large Whois Working Group.
On April 16th 2010, the At-Large Staff sent the draft statement to David Giza, the Staff person responsible for the public consultation on the NORC Draft Report, which ended on April 15th and notified him that the document would go trough the ALAC ratification process shortly.
On April 19th, the Chair of the ALAC asked the Staff to start a five-day online vote on the ALAC Statement on the Recent Whois Reports.

On May 11th 2010, the statement was transmitted to the ICANN Board of Directors.
