A couple of quick updates to share today.
First, Nairobi planning actively continues.
- Check out the ICANN Blog for a posting on enhanced remote participation practices that we're going to experiment with and evolve, beginning with the Nairobi meeting. Also Nick is asking for help from participants to make this work really well.
- Also, check out the blog for a notice from the Policy Development Support team about how you can get briefed on some of the key issues in advance of Nairobi, to make best use of your meeting time.
Second, several people have asked for links to sources they can use to stay up to date on local news in Kenya and Nairobi. Undoubtedly, there are many, many resources available. Here is a starter list that some of us at ICANN use:
Third, you may have noticed that there is an ICANN Board meeting called for 3h UTC on 19 February to discuss plans for the Nairobi meeting. This will give the Board a final opportunity to review the situation and plans.
Finally, some of the correspondence I've mentioned in previous posts – At Large, ccNSO, GoDaddy, Neustar and others – has been posted on ICANN's web site. See: http://www.icann.org/correspondence/
Sincerely,
Doug Brent
