WHOIS Task Force 2 Teleconference December 1 - Minutes

At the GNSO Council meeting held on November 20, 2003, a motion carried unanimously appointing Amadeu Abril I Abril, as an independent Council member, to the WHOIS task force 2 on Review of Data Collected and Displayed.

Tom Keller nominated Jordyn Buchanan as task Force chair on November 28, 2003.

Jordyn Buchanan was unanimously declared WHOIS task force 2 chair.



Statements of interest, in the policy development process for use as informational material in the publishing of any reports or policy proposals were called for from all the task force participants.



A question was raised on the the status of various participants in the Task Force, e.g., constituency representatives, liaisons, Nominating -Committee appointees, outside experts.

Barbara Roseman volunteered to solicit an opinion from ICANN General Counsel.



Jordyn Buchanan proposed the following tasks for the next teleconference:

- Clear understanding of the data gathering process, tasks and milestones

- Reflect on the most appropriate approach for data gathering tasks

- Background material should be studied

- Public comments reviewed





Jordyn Buchanan thanked everyone for their presence and participation and ended the call at 17:30 UTC.
