I am the Vice President for DotAsia Organisation Ltd. DotAsia is the registry operator and sponsor for the ICANN Sponsored gTLD ".ASIA", as well as the registry for ccTLD ".MO" operated under HNET Asia Limited. DotAsia is an investor of HNET Asia. My primary responsibility in DotAsia is community liaison and business development.
DotAsia is a not-for-profit membership based organization incorporated in Hong Kong. The current members of DotAsia includes 22 ccTLDs (".AF", ".BT", ".CN", ".HK", ".ID", ".IN", ".IR", ".JP", ".KH", ".KR", ".KZ", ".MN", ".MO", ".NU", ".NZ", ".PH", ".SG", ".TH", ".TJ", ".TW", ".UZ" and ".VN") and 6 regional organizations (APCERT, APNIC, APNG, APRALO, APTLD, APIA, and PAN). APNIC is an RIR in the ICANN ASO. APRALO is a regional at-large user organization recognized by ICANN. I currently serve as the Chair of APNG.
Before joining DotAsia I was the Director of Internet Affairs and Public Relations of Taiwan Network Information Center (TWNIC), the ".TW" ccTLD registry. Before 2002, I was with Register.com, an ICANN accredited registrar.
I do not own share of any registry or registrar. DotAsia, or myself as an individual, may participate and / or assist others to participate the new gTLD application process.
