Re: [ga] NA RALO SOI
Joop and all,
Joop is right to the extent that if ICANN funds anything it will
control it. "He who has the money makes the rules".
Joop is incorrect is stating "If constituency membership fees can't
fund the representatives, then ICANN is the only source left." There
are many sources of funding if one knows where to look. However
it is wise for funding for any non profit to come from membership fees
and donations, and as a 501 C3, a significant amount of funding legally
must come from donations. But anyway you have to have some seed
money to get the donation train moving for further funding.
From yet again the tone of Joop's remarks on the whole, he
seems to be unwilling or unable to aid in generating funding for
a new Constituency or reinstatement of the GA. This was a
significant problem with the defunct IDNO.
