Thomas, welcome to the club! The moment you respond with something they don't like, they "salute" you. As for the people who spend time here - there are different options: a) they really care about the Internet, and spend time in good will b) they have some business around domain names, and thus what happens around ICANN influences their business a lot c) they are members of the ICANN Board or staff, who indeed spend a lot of time here, and have no business that depends on ICANN decisions d) etc. Some of these people do not need information from the source. Some of them want guidance. Either way, the ICANN people are guilty - regardless what the question or contribution is.
