Dr. Joe and all,

Thanks Dr. Joe for the brief review of KPMG's sorted history of
the past several

years [ nearly a decade now]. Of course we all remember Karl's
successful

suit regarding ICANN's funding inaccuracies and the beginnings of ICANN

al la Vint Cerf, John Palmer, and the infamous George Soros circa
1998-99,

now don't we! But that was back in the gTLD-MOU days and as you may

recall one of the current ICANN Bod members working for NSOL at the

time deleated that EM lists archives, however I still have a full archive
in

a very safe place! >:)

In any event, I am forwarding your review reply back to the ABA

security list as an FYI and perhaps future refrence if and/or when

needed accordingly.

In closing, and as an off the cuff remark or observation, for the
life

of me, I cannot understand how and/or why KPMG, one of the big

four auditing firms, is allowed to remain in business. I can only

suppose they do, due to their substantial political clout or other

skeletons they know of in others closets to use as what is discribed

in legal parlance as "leverage" in their lobbying cadre on "K" street

in D.C., eh? In any event I wouldn't touch do any business with

KPMG under any circumstances ever!

New Century Bankruptcy Examiner Says KPMG Aided Fraud
>
>
>In
case you haven't heard.
>
>
>
>New Century Bankruptcy
Examiner Says KPMG Aided Fraud
>
>In the Enron debacle, one of the
most disturbing disclosures was that Arthur Andersen's technical accounting
experts were overruled by the engagement partners in Houston, allowing
accounting decisions to be approved even though Andersen's experts knew they
were wrong.
>
>Other auditing firms assured me that no such thing
could happen on their watch.
>
>Today the bankruptcy examiner for
New Century Financial - a subprime lender whose collapse just a year ago got
the current mess going - is out with his report. Parts of it are reminiscent of
the bad old days, pre-Sarbanes Oxley.
>
><A
