Well - lets stack up the names.  Multinational want their own TLDs.  
Multinationals like CNN, ABNAmbro Bank, REMAX, SITA etc. etc. etc.  Just 
look at the main page for public root www.publicroot.org - you'll see 
alot of multinational who have joined in.
The world is tired of playing the ICANN shuffle.
