- Thread-topic: GNSO requests ICANN to produce an issues report on the introduction of new services
Hello All,
The GNSO Council passed the following resolution approximately 4 hours
ago:
"The GNSO Council requests that the Staff Manager produce an Issues
Report, consistent with Article 1: Mission and Core Values of ICANN's
bylaws, on the need for a predictable procedure for the introduction of
new Registry Services (as defined in the gtld registry agreements)"
The motion was passed with 18 votes in favour.
The registry constituency representatives and the non-commercial
constituency representatives all abstained.
The report is due in 15 days, although I am hoping that a draft may be
available for discussion in Carthage.
Regards,
Bruce Tonkin
Registrars representative on the GNSO Council
