Hello,

The transfer rates for downloading large MP3 teleconference audio files
(or PDFs) from ICANN's website has been terrible the past few days.
e.g. if I attempt to download from:

http://gnso.icann.org/calendar/

say http://gnso-audio.icann.org/PDPFeb06-20061117.mp3

I get the following transfer rates:

http://www.loffs.com/images/slowicannhosting.gif

"15.2 KB/second, 2 hours+ remaining!!"

I know it's not my cablemodem, which can do 6 Mbps downloads (and I get
the maximum when testing it against nearby servers, and even 4.4+ Mbps
testing against the LA servers using
http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/ ).

This slowdown seems to have happened only the past few days, ever since
the ICANN outage on the weekend. Can someone at ICANN explain what's
up??

Sincerely,

George Kirikos
