Yes, they spent thousands of dollars to develop their current domain name,
have links everywhere pointing to them, thousands of bookmarkers who visit
daily, search engine position, and as soon as dot xxx is introduced they are
gonna say, "Hey, look! dot xxx is here! Forget all those links and the money
we spent, Lets move!

And if you forced them to move, who will cover the lawsuits over the amount
of money they were earning before the move?

You can't decide which tlds should be introduced and which ones should not.
It has to do with stability of the Internet.
