What are you talking about "lay person"? I have processed thousands of
domain transfers and have filed hundreds of complaints with ICANN and Dan
Halloran. I can personally attest that Dan Halloran does nothing related to
his job or what he is supposed to be doing. Of course it is not only me, he
doesn't do anything for anyone in terms of enforcing the registrar
agreements (http://trademark.blog.us/blog/2003/06/22.html). Many of my
complaints are now being sent to the ICANN board members ... who also do
nothing. His failure to do anything is encouraging more registrars to
blatantly violate the rules.
Halloran had his kid a long time ago. Is that going to be the excuse for
the next 18 years. He has done nothing and he is a disgrace. I want to see
him fired, gone, kaput.

Russ,
to the lay person it may seem that Dan Halloran does nothing; however, I
can personally attest that dan works more hours than I, and has worked
probably more than he desired. As a new father I'm sure he has worked more
than his family has wished, which is more than any man should.
I have alot of respect for Dan and the hours he puts in. He does a better
job than any of us could.
best,
-rick
