I snipped everything but I think that that dialogue was wonderful and
probably tantamout to the dialogues of three great countries establishing
democracies.
The great choices between a republican form and a more direct form.
I cannot speak too well of Descartes, Laffeete or even the battle of Hastings,
but I can assure Jefferson, Franklyn and Washington had the same arguments.

This is good and important stuff.
I mean really important. I personally prefer a representive democracy as I
am lazy and would rather chase my new bride around than spend time voting on
minutae. Of course reading Plato to Clancy is also fun. However it would
appear we are approaching an era where automatic realtime voting may work so
we should develop standards that are flexible to such realities.
But we all must be mindfull of His Holiness the Dalai Lama "If you cannot
benifit others, at least don't harm them."
