I respectfully disagree.  The net should not dilute our need for responsibility 
of our actions.  When someone republishes defamatory information they should be 
held accountable.  If you talk bad about someone - it is no defense to say "I 
only passed on along what I heard".  Every modern philosophy or theology 
recognizes gossip as a form of sinful behavior.  Laws rightfully reflect this 
moral boundary. Links are the same as saying "lookie here" or "he said she 
said". Either be a responsble netizen and take credit or shut up.
