All,

Despite the lack on some stakeholders opinion that
DNSSEC is not wanted and/or needed, I and our members
are glad to see that the decision which we had been
pushing for to migrate away from SHA1 and MD5 to
SHA2 for DNSKEY in DNSSEC has been put on a standards
track.

Now if ICANN's registries and registrars in their DNS
operations including Domain Name registration will only
recognize the handwriting on the wall along with ccTLD
registries and hopefully new gTLD, IDN gTLD registries.

Spread the word, change is coming!

As an FYI see below as forwarded:

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts
directories.
This draft is a work item of the DNS Extensions Working Group of the
IETF.

Title : Use of SHA-2 algorithms with RSA in DNSKEY and RRSIG
Resource Records for DNSSEC
        Author(s) : J. Jansen
        Filename : draft-ietf-dnsext-dnssec-rsasha256-10.txt

This document describes how to produce RSA/SHA-256 and RSA/SHA-512
DNSKEY and RRSIG resource records for use in the Domain Name System
Security Extensions (DNSSEC, RFC 4033, RFC 4034, and RFC 4035).
