Dr. Joe and all,

  This is not the first time, nor shall it likely be the last time
ICANN's
Root servers have been hacked as long as the technical expertise
at the IANA continues to decline as it has sense 1999.  Even though
ICANN has partly implemented DNSSEC on a few Root servers,
that implementation was not a FULL implementation and was not
coupled with IPSEC or securing the root servers themselves.  I warned
of this the first time back in 2000, and was rebuffed.  Now that yet
again ICANN's security folks have shown that they don't know what
the heck they are doing, one has to wonder how they can be considered
good stuarts of the security and safety of the DNS.
