RE: [council] GNSO SF schedule
To the Contrary, I believe that the Council as a whole (as opposed to any
working group - since there is none) should discuss any outstanding issues
involving Registration Abuse and follow up items from ICANN staff including the
Letters, Issue Report (on UDRP Review) and Discussion Paper (Registry/Registrar
Best Practices) as requested by the Council on Feb 3rd.

Jeff,
Many thanks for your comments.
Could you please clarify to me:
"There is no RAP working group anymore, so any discussions on the resolutions
passed by Council at the meeting earlier this month need to be had as a full
Council. "
This means that you suggest we are not having a specific RAP meeting on
Saturday / Sunday?
If this is the case and my interpretation is correct then, could you clarify:
"In any case, I am opposed to having the PPSC meeting opposite what is now
labeled as "RAP" and so that issue needs to get discussed."
Apologies if this sounds confusing but I find difficulties in updating the
schedule following your comments.
Many thanks and regards
Olga

Julie,
Thanks for the explanation. I cannot speak for the Council, but we should have
the discussion since there is so much to cover over the weekend.
In any case, I am opposed to having the PPSC meeting opposite what is now
labeled as "RAP" and so that issue needs to get discussed.
Thanks.

Jeff,
With respect to the SSAC meeting, it was my understanding that the GNSO Council
wanted to meet with Patrik Faltstrom. As to an agenda, he plans to provide a
brief presentation on current SSAC activities followed by questions and
discussion with the Councilors. I do know that he would very much like to meet
with the GNSO Council, but when and whether that happens is, of course, up to
the Council. He is very interested in encouraging dialog between the SSAC and
the SOs and other ACs. If the Council does not wish to meet with him I will
need to know as soon as possible since I am managing Patrik's schedule.
Thanks,
Julie

Olga,
Can we get an explanation of what the purpose of the 9-10 meeting with Patrick
and the SSAC is for? Is there an agenda? I know many of the stakeholder
groups are meeting with them separately, so I am not sure why we need to meet
with them at a Council level as well.
Also, I am not sure why there are two conflicting meetings from 10:30-12 on
Saturday (PPSC and RAP). There is no RAP working group anymore, so any
discussions on the resolutions passed by Council at the meeting earlier this
month need to be had as a full Council. My recommendation would be that we
move the discussions on the Registration Abuse to 9-10 and if we need to have a
conflicting meeting, we can have Councilors on the PPSC choose between meeting
with the SSAC and the PPSC meeting.
Can we also change the Sunday meeting entitled "PPSC" to "PDP-WT"?
Thanks.
