Re: [council] Names for the ACSO meeting
Hi,
No real reason NCAs can't speak from their own experience.
It is just with only 3 seats, which I asked to have extended to 4
because of the SGs, I am trying for maximum representation. Especially
these days when the people in SGs are involved in a lot of interactive
work with the Board, the SIC and the Policy Staff in addition to the
standard policy work with items like constituency and stakeholder
group charters, I thought it would be good for them to have a maximum
opportunity to discuss these issues.
Also you were on the panel last year and while there is no requirement
that it be different people, I personally think getting some different
people to speak is almost always a good thing - not that everyone
wasn't really good last year.
One thing, an aspect that was added this year is that after the
meting, a brief one page summary of the meeting will be posted, with
the transcript and people will be invited to comment using the
standard ICANN comment mechanisms. So we will all have a chance to
speak from our own experience.
thanks

Hi,
No problem if one of the SG may ask me to sit in their seat.
But Is there a reason that GNSO Noncom Appointees can not have also
a seat there?
I think that we are able to talk about "Institutional Improvements"
speaking from our own experience.

Hi,
Thanks for volunteering.
As we did last time, I would like to have one name put forward by
each of the SGs. Since you put your name forward, perhaps, like
last time, one of the SGs will ask you to sit in their seat.
Thanks

Hi,
It is time again for me to collect 4 names, one from each of the SG
that will be.
The do not need to be council members, but they should be people
with opinions on the subject being discussed. And should be people
who are not afraid to peak their minds in an a wide and varied
audience.
The subject of the meeting is:
Institutional Improvements
The roles and responsibilities of ACs, SOs, Policy Staff and Board
in ICANN's processes: current situation and possible evolutions
The full discussion can be found at: http://syd.icann.org/node/3808
Note, there will be a preparation breakfast meeting on the Monday
for the panelists and the various ACSO chairs/v-chairs.
Please get me names as soon as possible as Kieren would like to be
able to post the names of panelists.
thanks
a.
