The following subjects are proposed as an agenda for discussions
between the ALAC and the GNSO at the meeting in Paris on Sunday. Can
you confirm with the council or the chair as appropriate if these
subjects would be agreeable - or if there are any other/different
subjects that they would wish to discuss?
1. New gTLDs (IDN and Non-IDN)
* Importance of community support - Focus on the element of
community support (where relevant to a particular application) on a
new gTLD and what this means with regards to the new PDP process
2. Public Comment Period Length
* Near-impossibility of gaining global consensus in 30 days,
especially in multiple languages
3. Improving communications between the AC and the SO
* At the regional level
* At the local level
4. GNSO Improvements
* Joint Statement of Users and a discussion of individual
internet user engagement directly in the GNSO
