- Thread-topic: [council] GNSO Council - proposed agenda - Thursday 14 August 2003
Hello Jeff,
Thanks for the suggestions.
With regard to the first item, we discussed this at the meeting in
Montreal.
The next step would appear to be for the registry constituency to
prepare a paper for discussion that will lead to a recommendation from
the GNSO Council. I will place this on the agenda for the next Council
meeting on 25 September. You might like to coordinate with the ISP
constituency and the ICANN Security and Stability Committee in the
development of the paper.
With regard to the second item, I will add this to the discussion on
council structure in item 6 of the agenda.
An appropriate follow up to our teleconference on August 14 is probably
to schedule a teleconference with the ICANN Board to discuss the issues
raised in item 6.
As an approach to improving coordination - I suggest we schedule joint
teleconferences with the Board perhaps quarterly with an agenda that
might include general process issues associated with the Board and the
GNSO (e.g item 6), and also to provide briefings on current policy
development activities once they reach draft report status. Ideally we
could time these joint teleconferences to occur before a physical ICANN
meeting.
Regards,
Bruce
