The rules I apply at the moment are common sense and courtesy.
   
  Your point is most welcome on adopting the rules. Will you set up the voting mechanism?

I believe that adoption of any list rules of a mailing list you
do not OWN requires a vote of the members. Blanket adoption
would be illegitimate. Remember the chair works for the
members, not the other way around. However good agreed
upon rules which are practical, are a good thing.
