Subject: RE: [registrars] ICANN Board Meeting
-08-Nov-05

Thanks Michael.

I do not see any indication that the Board extended
the public comment period for the VeriSign/ICANN
settlement and the new .com agreement (or
directed the ICANN staff to do so)? Has a formal
announcement been made? I cannot locate it anywhere
on the ICANN site.

Jen

Jennifer:

With regard to the .COM settlement agreement, it is my
understanding that no decision will be taken on this
matter prior to Vancouver.
Additionally, it is my further understanding that
ICANN will be communicating shortly with the various
chairs of the constituencies, supporting
organizations, and advisory groups in connection with
a process for soliciting input in connection with the
.COM settlement agreement leading up to and during the
Vancouver meeting.

I hope you find this responsive to your very important
and valid question.

Best regards,

Michael D. Palage
