A case can be made that the Americas, each country or community that has a degree of Independence, won it from corporate Europe. Not really nations independent of nations or new crowns emerged from old, but of shedding the yolk of the profit margin imposed by financial interests from the "oldworld". And for what were these yolks shed? For the most part the liberty to fail? The "Kings Tea" is really just a trademark lable. Taxation merely a form of profit for whoever controls the majority of stakeholders. And those in the "newworld" were not entitled to a stakeholders vote or share. A man named Smith and a man named Wesson are now the King of that domain. And from where they started, being a king was the last thing they wanted. This taxation without representation and loss of property without due process should stop. But a new breed of stakeholders shall not have it given them, but rather they must earn it, the old fashion way.
IP interests are our new Yolk.

Eric
