The GNSO Council has confirmed that James Bladel, GNSO Chair, will represent the GNSO as the Decisional Participant on the Empowered Community (EC) Administration on until the end of his term at ICANN60. Since September 2016, James has represented the GNSO in the EC Administration on an interim basis. The GNSO Standing Selection Committee was tasked to develop the criteria and the process for selecting the permanent GNSO Representative. The Council adopted the proposed criteria and the process during its meeting on 28 June 2017 which foresee that the GNSO Council Leadership Team (GNSO Chair and Council Vice-Chairs) determine who of them will perform the role of representative. Following a determination by the GNSO Council Leadership Team, the GNSO Council confirmed that James performs this role during its meeting on 13 July 2017.
