I am a Professor of Law at the University of New Hampshire School of Law (formerly Franklin Pierce Law Center). My areas of interest and specialization are international copyright and Internet law and policy. Previously, I was Special Counsel to the international law firm of Morrison & Foerster, based primarily in its New York office, with time spent also in its Brussels and Singapore offices. I have also been a law professor with the Singapore Management University and the National University of Singapore, where I taught intellectual property, business, e-commerce and information technology law. I am the immediate past chair of the International Copyright committee of the American Bar Association (ABA) Intellectual Property Law Section (IPL), and have also served on the ABA-IPL Copyright Reform Task Force as well as the Editorial Board for the ABA-IPL flagship publication, “Landslide”. In addition, I am an Associate Fellow of the IP Academy of Singapore, and have served previously on government and professional committees dealing with e-commerce and Internet issues.

The University of New Hampshire School of Law is a non-profit educational institution and an internationally-recognized leader in intellectual property law, emphasizing innovative, practice-based teaching. As the Internet evolves, governments, businesses and non-commercial users will continue to face challenging legal and policy issues surrounding the development, use and governance of the Internet. As a member of the Non-Commercial Users Constituency and the Non-Commercial Stakeholder Group, the University of New Hampshire School of Law hopes to contribute its academic expertise to helping ensure an open and global Internet.

Aside from being the registrant of several domain names, neither I nor the University of New Hampshire School of Law have any financial or other relevant interests in ICANN.
