Tom,

Thanks for the response. Is it safe to say we can use your statement below in our responses to the working group?

Jothan,

This is a great summary. I would like to add another use of the AGP:

I'll call this "Buyer's Remorse"

We do a lot of business in the domains where the price tag typically exceeds
$100 per name. The typical order can contain several names, increasing the
price tag to over $1000.

As a general policy, we accept order cancellations within the AGP. In fact,
we prefer it to the alternative of an unhappy customer who is may feel
inclined to pursue a charge-back. The customer is relieved and more likely
to be more prudent the next time around.

The AGP is one of the few pro-consumer ICANN policies that exists. It
should stay in place.

best regards,

Tom Barrett

My Fellow registrars-

In following up on my email on September 14th to this list, I have received
many uses of AGP, which distilled down to four uses. The attached document
was submitted which will be incorporated into the outcomes report of the
ad-hoc domain tasting working group (DTWG).

The attached represents the collection and normalization of AGP uses that
were submitted to me by phone, conversations at industry events, or by
email.

It has already been submitted to the DTWG, but they'd asked if we'd voted on
it, or vetted it for comment.

At this point, if anyone has an issue with the four uses as presented or if
there is any supporting information, if they'd email me directly or to the
list, I'll work to collect this and redistribute it to the DTWG.

Comments, clarifications? Are there any issues where the registrar you
represent disagrees with the findings?

-Jothan
