Of course you are correct. There are three basic forms of policy, the
EU Directives, arising from the Treaty of Europe human rights framework
for data collection, the US FTC case law, arising from private contract,
and the OEDC Guidelines, which apply in Canada and some other territorial
jurisdictions outside of Europe and the United States.
