Bhavin,

As Jon Nevett pointed out and as I explained in Luxembourg, the .NET RRA can
be found at http://www.icann.org/tlds/agreements/net/, page 72, Appendix 8.
The old RRA is still available in the Archived Agreements section of the
Registry Agreements
(http://www.icann.org/tlds/agreements/verisign/net-index.htm, Appendix F).
I don't feel comfortable highlighting changes between the two documents as I
might miss something or stress the wrong thing, so would prefer to leave
comparisons of changes to you.

The original period for "review and comment by registrars" was 30 days
following the Effective Date of the agreement. At the Board meeting in
Luxembourg, however, Vint Cerf announced that the comment period could be
extended an extra 30 days if needed to incorporate comments from the
constituencies in discussions between ICANN and VeriSign. As I understand
it, VeriSign has sent out a notice to all registrars explaining that this
period has been extended to 1 September 2005.

You can certainly send any comments to me and I will make sure they get
submitted for review. Please note in the Subject line that these are
comments concerning the .NET RRA.

As Vint Cerf explained in Luxembourg, VeriSign has agreed to discuss the
terms of the .NET contract with ICANN. While I recognize that the outcome
of these discussions is important to the registrar community, I do not have
anything to report on them at this time.

Hi Tim,

Need a lil help from you :)

* In the Registrars constituency meeting Vint Cerf had stated that the new
.NET RRA (Registry Registrar Agreement) was not yet finalized and was open
for public comment. I had the following quick questions of you concerning us
-

- Could you point us to the URL where this Agreement is put up and the
process for comment

- Could you inform us about the deadline for the same. I know Vint mentioned
it but it has slipped my mind

- Could you inform us if there have been any changes made to the .NET RRA as
compared to the one that was in existence prior to this reassignment of .NET
to Verisign?

* Additionally as announced by Vint in the Public Forum that Verisign was
relooking at certain aspects of the .NET contract with ICANN, can you inform
us about any progress, ETA etc and keep us updated

Thanks in advance

Best Regards
