Subject: [registrars] Regarding ICANN's announcement of a fee increase
Hello All,
Melbourne IT has sent a letter to ICANN today requesting that they
provide the usual
3 months to comply with the new fee increase which was announced on 12
October 2004,
but to become effective on 1 Nov 2004. This is less than 20 days
notice.
As far as I can tell, we have had at least 3 months to comply with other
changes such as to the transfers and WHOIS policies at:
http://www.icann.org/general/consensus-policies.htm
(e.g transfers announced 13 July 2004, compliance by 12 November
Deletion policy announced 21 September, compliance by 21 Dec 2004)
I would be interested to hear from other registrars if they agree with
our request.
Regards,
Bruce Tonkin
