all - I believe that the real threat connected with this bill is not the
bill itself, but how it will be used to push other bills or policies
that impose new unfunded requirements on us. So, we need to look at
this issue broadly.
If people are interested, Brian and I can brief in Rome on the state of
US laws and regs on privacy/accuracy issues.

I would be interested in hearing more from the constituency regarding
the merits of this bill and this hearing. Gaining an understanding the
full range of points on this tricky continuum will be useful from both
a Whois-TF and Names Council perspective.
Would you be in any sort of position to present an analysis of the
bill and its merits at the Rome meeting? It would be a great way to
foster a constituency dialog on the specifics of this particular
subject.
