Google has filed an action in the US District Court for the Northern
District of California, requesting a declaratory judgment that its
controversial AdWords program, which permits advertisers to place
advertisements (ie, sponsored links) on the Google home page when a
registered keyword is used in a search query, does not violate US
trademark laws.
