Dr. Dierker and all,

  I believe you mischaracterize what was at the center.  Rather IMHO,
truth, honesty, and frankness was at the center.

Rules should be guidelines, and are not etched in stone, nor have
the force of law.  To extoll or consider otherwise is foolhardy.

Rules however can be enforced if one has control of the ways
and means by which to do so.  We here do not. However
bad rules like bad policy and process yield bad and sometimes
unpredictable results.
