Dr. Dierker, Karl and all,
As I recall in 2000 ICANN was desperate for $$ and they did
pre announce that the $200k? for each applicant was not refundable.
So Dr. Dierkers remarks seem to indicate and illustrate a good basis
for doing a bad business deal. I can only agree with Karls conclusions
as ICANN should have never in 2000 made such a proposal and
DOC/NTIA should also have never approved same.
I guess ole P.T. Barnum had a few thing right, i.e.: "There's a
sucker born every min." and "lawyers like politicians all lie,
they just do so with remarkable dexterity".
