Hi all,
back from the business trip.., what a number of new posts here...
Yes, establishing a Registrant Constituency as a consequence of all that
rush around Registerfly and other facts apparently revealing the
negligence towards registrant safety and their interests is necessary,
if only ICANN wants to keep the rests of its eroding credibility.
The upcoming Lisbon meeting could be the right place to address all this
along with initiating the discussion over the possible structural
reorganisation within ICANN. A Don Quixote effort though, many people
are already involved in the case and ICANN cannot simply ignore them,
trivialize the problem or even keep mum about it. A good opportunity to
push them on acting finally.

On GNSO Reform from the Registrar's list:
In Lisbon the intent is to have a workshop that focuses on the major
structural (and interdependent) recommendations. The aim is to have a
call for papers for those that have specific ideas for a new structure,
and allow those that have submitted a paper to make a short
presentation. Other than that there will be an open mike session. This
workshop will be run by the Board's Governance Committee, and will be
held on Monday afternoon 26 March in Lisbon (see
http://www.icann.org/meetings/lisbon/ ).
