Methinks it would have been 'fitting' for many of the hats to be conical

Yeah, but that was likely coordinated by an outside entity. Had ICANN's
staff coordinated that there would have been an additional fee for each
domain registration to pay for the hats and they wouldn't have matched.

I am always amazed when people accept not the second best, not the third best, nor even the fourth; but instead willingly allow themselves to be labeled as inferior.
