Dear Fellow GA Members,

Considering the recent developments vis a vis Internet Governance, the US
Government and the United Nations, I think it is time for the ICANN
AtLarge Membership initiative to be revisited.  I believe Individual
Internet Users worldwide now have the opportunity to make a real
difference. I am unconvinced that the UN would provide for a better DNS
and IP addressing oversight body than ICANN; at the same time, I am sorely
disappointed by ICANN's refusal to stick to the AtLarge membership
provision(s) of its original By-Laws.

Nonetheless, I believe a unique opportunity now presents itself to
Individual Internet Users worldwide who have a serious interest in Net
governance matters.  It remains for us to step forward and provide an
alternative vision for the future of the Internet.  To this end, I will be
setting up www.icannatlarge.net in order to begin the process of
re-organizing and re-establishing the AtLarge.  I have a number of ideas
that are both cost-effective and realistic which will allow for the
initial impetus towards the realization of a global AtLarge structure.  I
invite ALL of you to join me in this endeavour.  If you are interested in
helping to get this project moving forward, please email me.
