Eric and all,
Indeed ICANN has been a failure given this news in showing it's
ability to manage the Root. ICANN has also been a failure on several
other fronts as well. It does not recognize that the stakeholder/user
is king. However it seems that DOC/NTIA also is falling short on
that mark, no pun intended, as well...
