Here is the problem with your conclusion. Since vb took his position the reality is that ALAC has done nothing but grow more exclusive and reclusive. His response in fact to "disruption" in his meetings was not handled by solving the problem/cause of disruption but rather by closing meetings. The recent hand "cherry picking" of non-representative appointees to NomCom is another example of his top-down non-opaque, not good for "the community" actions.
He may very well sincerely try to do something good. The trouble is he does not and cannot as long as he acts outside the scope of reflecting the desires of the atlarge community of stakeholder user consumers.
OTOH he does quite well for the community, if you define the community as the insider top elite socialists of ICANN.
However your participation here is a great indication and reality of your desire to do good for the community.
