It's a fair question isn't it? And why can't individual users apply for membership as individual users in an organisation set up for... individual users? And why can't the At Large movement determine its own policies, and have mailing lists to develop them, and vote on them... instead of having selected people to decide "top down" what is best for the At Large?

ICANN has attempted to hijack the At Large.

ALAC is simply a creation of ICANN, imposed "top down" as a face saving exercise.

ALAC has no mandate except from the ICANN Board.

The ICANN Board has no mandate except from the Department of Commerce of a single country.

The rest of the world - including millions of internet users - is locked out.

It is indeed, Eric, a weird scenario.

Yrs,
Richard

How in any deepest wierd scenario could a person even think of having closed ALAC meetings.
These people are twisted beyond salvage.
