My uncle was a teenage tail gunner with the Lancasters liberating Nazi-oppressed Europe.

His older brother was killed in the same war for freedom - barely 22 at the time.

My mother worked shoulder by shoulder, at Bletchley Park, intervening and de-coding the Enigma messages to support the Allied effort.

They fought for freedom of speech and decency, and they fought alongside brave American servicemen and women.

In the interest of the same freedom of speech, and in opposition to censorship and fascism,

...Please could we have the record of our speech re-instated on this mailing list?

Why has there been no response from the mailing list's administrators? Herr Thomas Roessler - could we have some response... any response...

Where has the GNSO mailing list gone? Why do the archives stop at 20th April? Why have the last vestiges of freedom of speech been eradicated?

  I can't get this Irony out of my head.  My Uncle who is a man of many letters, got a deferrment from draft to finish his lawschooling. Then he saw this news clip at the orpheum theatre (those were newsreels like  previews before movies back in the forties)
  It was the famous book burning film out of Nazi Germany. He signed up and flew over fifty missions in B-52s. On this Memorial Day Weekend he especially remembers the dozen or so tail gunners that were killed in his bombers liberating and protecting freedom of speech.
  On this Memorial day weekend we witness a German, apparently remaining steadfast to destroy the writings of some of the most intelligent minds in leading a stable communication system throughout the world.
