All,

An interesting development. I hope it works out well for
GoDaddy customers/registrants. Lets hope that a Rupert Murdoc
backed North Korean or China.com backed concern doesn't get the
bid eh? Arguably GoDaddy needed to be under some new management
so that the clean up of their "43 million domains under management",
and interesting choice of terms by the WSJ < ICANN and GoDaddy has
contended that they are simply a 'Registrar' and nothing more >.
Seems that perhaps business community doesn't quite see such in
the same light as ICANN or GoDaddy does eh? And perhaps whomever
buys GoDaddy can switch to the "McCain Girls" in their future
advertising so that a more 'wholesome' image can be projected and
dissuade the outcry from more conservative family friendly oriented
groups regarding GoDaddy's 'loose morals/edgy' marketing and advertising
approach, eh? >;)

auction that could fetch more than $1 billion, people familiar with the
matter said. The company, which currently has more than 43 million
domains under management is well known for its edgy advertising,
including Super Bowl commercials and ads featuring different 'Go Daddy
Girls,' including racing car driver Danica Patrick."
