Chuck and all,
Please pass along my kudo's to everyone at Verisigns iDefense group.
Well done indeed! >:) If we could only get ICANN's much self vaunted
SSAC to do same and do so with similar vigor and enlightened self
interest, eh? Or am I asking/suggesting too much? Maybe at least
ICANN's SSAC and Rod could strongly warn Facebook to get their act
cleaned up or face immediate takedown until they do? So far their
recent upgrades in security arn't cutt'it it...

Facebook has identified the person who offered access credentials for
1.5 million Facebook accounts in underground forums. The individual,
who used the online name of Kirllos, offered batches of 1,000 accounts
for between US $25 and US $45. With the help of forensic specialists,
Facebook now says they know Kirllos's identity; while a name was not
provided, a company spokesperson acknowledged that the person operated
out of Russia. The spokesperson also said that it is unlikely that
Kirllos had the number of accounts he claimed.
