While I disagree with you on a lot of things ....  :)

I'm trying hard to work out what this list is meant to be. While I've  
always favoured self-moderation of mailing lists this one would appear  
to be a playground for some people who seem to be more interested in  
squabbling about irrelevant drivel than actually discussing anything  
of merit.
Of course I could simply unsubscribe...
