Karl and all,

Well Karl, largely I for one am in agreement with you. But if
you recall Leah had

a golden opertunity to file suit regarding .BIZ and declined to do so, even
with

allot of pro bono legal support.

Chris was really the one that got shafted worse the Leah, as .WEB at
the time

would have been very competitive with .COM then. But now, I doubt that
very many

new GTLD's will be very marketable given the number of choices already
avaliable.

Finnally, making statements and remarks on the GA and not directly to

the ICANN bod and staff members as well as DOC/NTIA really doesn't

do any good.

Thanks, Chris,

Your comments are well received with regard to
the theft of .biz from a fully functional and profitable Atlantic Root
Network (Leah Gallegos) by ICANN to sell to higher bidder in Australia. ICANN
still seems to believe it is the only viable root system despite even other
governments setting up their own quite successfully, not to mention the
Inclusive Name-Space community with the ORSC, WorldRoot and the Cesidian Root
just to name a few.

After years of resisting the opening of the ICANN
root to new TLDs, probably to insure profitability to the friends of ICANN who
run the paid for and thus "accepted" ones, it appears they are now trying to
quickly get in front of the wave of public sentiment and auction off what they
never owned and now have ever less and less legitimate claim to control over,
so as to get a last cash infusion before the whole TLD matter is more
completely out of their hands and ICANN becomes irrelevant.

If this is not the case, why an auction now and
not several years ago? Why not accept .WEB with all Chris put into it? Why not
go through the same process for awarding TLDs as before? (I didn't like them,
but ICANN made more more that way than they will with an auction now!)

As for the theft of currently operating and RFC
compliant TLDs such as with .biz,, all I can say is "Remember the ,BIZ!!!
